Private Lessons
Private music lessons are essential to personal growth, and the perfect way to discover if you have a true desire to become a musician.
Here, you find out what it takes to learn and master your instrument. Private music lessons are custom tailored to each student through a semester action plan and weekly lesson plans.
Private music lessons are great for students of every skill level. Whether the student is a beginner or highly skilled, there is no subsitute for working with an experienced mentor one-on-one every week on technique, music theory and general music concepts.
Private music lessons are highly recommended for all of our students, especially those students in the Young Band Program.
You can start private lessons anytime before or during a session.
Every new student will be offered a one-time free 1/2 hour assessment to check out the studio and meet his/her potential instructor(s).
Young Band Nation
The Young Band Nation (YBN) Program is a development program designed to be accessible to intermediate and advanced level students as they continue to hone their skills in private music lessons.
Here is where our students put their knowledge and skills to the test, and where they learn lessons they could never learn in private music lessons alone.
Students experience working as a team which can bring about many social challenges and successes, and they learn that being a musician in a band requires a much broader skill set than just being a good at an instrument or having a good voice. Signing up for this program involves a higher level of commitment than other programs.
We also implement projects where students learn about music business concepts, and working with professional audio.
These bands will have several show opportunities thoughout each session, whether it be in the Blue Verse Room inside of our studio or a restaurant or venue here in town.
Most students involved in YBN program for a session or two usually take the next step by autitioning for our Advanced Technology Training Program!
AIT Program
The Advanced Industry Training Program will be the most comprehensive educational curriculum BRMS has offered. This program is for the most committed, hardworking, dedicated students!
Members of this program are entrepreneurial leader's in our nation's youth music community. They pave the way for future generations of musicians to be educated, aware, and well-versed in the myriad of musical styles relevant to our community at large. They are confident, seasoned performers who capture the audience's attention, and give 100% of themselves on and off the stage. They strive to discover even more on a life-long journey of musical growth, humbly leaving egos at the door, and passing their knowledge to other students on the rise around them.
The Advanced Industry Training Program will take students through a 10-month program that includes weekly 2-hour rehearsals, the booking of their own gigs and extra rehearsals, creation of a website, EPKs, recording, music business classes, lots of gigs, and much more!
Students of this program have performed at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Lafayette's Festival International de Louisiane,
